“I met David years ago when our kids were in elementary school together. Our experiences and interactions through the years have enabled me to see first-hand the type of parent, advocate, and leader he is in our community. When David talks about initiatives of equity and advocating for immigrant families, I know there is truth and passion behind those beliefs. A tireless champion for Arlington, I believe he will be an excellent advocate for our children. David Priddy has my strong endorsement for the Arlington County School Board!!”
— Alfonso Lopez, Virginia Delegate 49th District and House Majority Whip
David Priddy is dedicated, collaborative, and committed to equity, the three main qualities I look for in a School Board Member. He also has relevant experience serving Arlington Public Schools as a member of two critical committees, the Advisory Committee on Instruction and the Superintendent’s Committee on Equity and Excellence. He also currently serves as President of Thomas Jefferson Middle School’s PTA.
I’m proud to endorse David for the Arlington School Board. His ideas and commitment, along with his experience, will help him hit the ground running and serve our community well. He is a parent of two current APS students and an APS graduate himself; he knows the challenges facing our school system and how to make sure our schools serve all students well. Please join me in voting for David Priddy by requesting a ballot by mail before May 7th and returning it before May 30th

“Today, I am thrilled to announce that I am endorsing David Priddy for the Arlington County School Board. As many of you know, I am not seeking reelection and it is imperative for me that our next school board members can continue to build on the work that the School Board is doing on equity, managing our growth responsibly and with the entire county in mind, and most importantly, ensuring a high quality education for ALL of our students. I am confident that David Priddy is that candidate. David is a neighborhood school parent and community leader and advocate. A product of APS himself, he understands our community’s history and the need to continue to build equity and plan long term for our students. His experience in the private sector, working with diverse constituencies, and managing multi-million dollar budgets, as well as communicating effectively, are all valuable assets that will strengthen our School Board and are important for our school system. I am impressed by his work as President of the Thomas Jefferson Middle School PTA and his volunteerism, and I appreciate his dedication to the community and students. I encourage everyone to learn more about David and his candidacy. Please join me in supporting David for Arlington School Board!”
— Tannia Talento, Chair of the Arlington School Board
I wholeheartedly endorse David Priddy for School Board and urge you to vote for him during the upcoming Arlington Democrat’s School Board Caucus. David is the grounded, steady leader we need today on the Arlington School Board.
David Priddy has extensive, first-hand experience as a parent of two students in Arlington Public Schools. He has worked diligently to support his family and community as a member of the Fleet and Thomas Jefferson Middle School PTAs. He serves as PTA President currently at Jefferson Middle School, as representative to the County Council of PTAs, and as a member of the Career Center Building Level Planning Committee. This extensive involvement in our schools gives David up-close, daily experience with current education practice and the regular life of students in APS, as well as the important perspective of planner and advisor to vital APS system-wide projects. This background provides the necessary grounding David needs as he takes on the challenges of APS budgets, plans, and operations as we not only learn to function in our new normal during Covid-19 but also in the ongoing challenge of education in the digital age.
David is steady, kind, thoughtful, and an amazing listener. As the new Fleet building opened adjacent to Jefferson Middle School this year, David alerted the Board to ongoing problems and worked with the PTAs of Jefferson and Fleet, APS Central Office staff, and County officials to address problems and gain resolution. He kept his PTAs informed, engaged and supported. He ensure community voices are heard by the School Board. He has become a trusted ally and community advocate to me as I engage in my work on the Board.
I strongly urge you to request cast that ballot immediately for David Priddy. https://arlingtondemocrats.org/vote/school-board-caucus/

I am pleased to endorse David Priddy for Arlington School Board. David is the right person to address the challenges facing our school system. His leadership through the years on the boards of various community organizations and PTAs enable David to have the perspective of both a parent and a community leader. As Commissioner of Revenue, I know how important good schools are to attract businesses and to build a vibrant community. Our kids are our future, and we need the right leadership to guide the school system through the challenges to come. I hope you’ll join me in supporting David in his race for Arlington School Board!
— Ingrid H. Morroy, Commissioner of Revenue
“As a father of two bi-racial APS students, a PTA president, and a neighborhood activist, David Priddy will bring an important set of perspectives to the Arlington School Board. In this time of transition for the School Board and the Superintendent in the midst of a health crisis, David’s ability to look broadly at student and family needs in the context of County challenges will strengthen the important relationship between the County Board and the School Board. I’ve been impressed by David’s work on the Building Level Planning Committee for the Career Center Expansion, his advocacy on the Arlington Heights Civic Association Schools and Facilities Committee, and his leadership of the Jefferson Middle School PTA. These characteristics and more are why I believe David‘s is a voice we need on the Arlington County School Board. I hope you will join me in voting for David!”
— Mary Hynes, former Arlington County Board and Arlington School Board Member
As a lifelong Arlingtonian, very few people have a passion for Arlington and appreciate the APS experience more than David. I have spoken with educators who have known David for years and they think the same of him. As someone who knows the hard work it takes to be a School Board member, I have the utmost confidence in David’s decision-making ability, and his dedication to effectively serve on the School Board. David will generate innovative ideas and work collaboratively with others, which is the type of leadership APS needs during these uncertain times. I am proud to endorse David for Arlington County School Board!
— Karen Darner, retired Arlington educator and former Virginia Delegate for the 49th District of Virginia
“I’ve spent a lot of time over the last year talking with David about the issues of equity, marginalized populations, and how to help the less fortunate. It was through those discussions that I realized we both shared a common desire to help solve these issues. I asked him to get more involved in the community and he has risen to the task. David has successfully advocated for teachers and students at the newly constructed Fleet school building. In February, he organized community conversations on racism and anti-semitism – proving David is willing to tackle the hard subjects and is not afraid of challenging conversations. He has the leadership qualities, and more importantly, the drive to bring APS forward. It is with enthusiasm that I endorse David Priddy for School Board!”
